I'm relatively new to Burlesque but I enjoyed last night's show at the old wine cellar of Chiaroscuro in Strait Street. Must make it a date (have already become a member of their page on Facebook). Had a pleasant glass of wine while the show to started, a bit slow at first but it quickly gained pace. Some great sketches and musical numbers amongst the material. Loved the three dancing girls that teased us into the night.
I had already been to the Chiaroscuro cellar for the launch of Pierre J. Meilak's book Qed Nistenniek Niezla max-Xita and the one thing that had bothered me then were the mosquitoes present in the cellar. They were still there for the show yesterday so I suggest spraying yourself with insect repellent if you intend going to this Sunday's show. Booking is necessary.
